Jody is a lifetime artist who started at a young age selling sketches to neighbors. After many years of exploring various mediums, including a 6 year stint in production art for the sculptor Michael Garman, Jody found glass and hasn’t looked back. After 8 years working in stained glass she got the idea to melt her stained glass scraps and was immediately hooked on the flame. Since 2006 Jody has been teaching herself how to translate the visions in her brain into glass. Always up for a technical challenge Jody discovered a way to make tiny pictures in glass (murrini) and is now teaching that technique to advanced flameworkers around the country. In 2015 she was the feature artist/teacher at both East and West Glass Stock ; one of the country’s premier learning events for flameworkers.
